Words open minds
During the course of this blog, you and I will no doubt encounter differing opinions and possible controversy. And that’s ok. In fact, that’s good.
I was at a Barnes & Noble store a couple years ago and saw the oddest book. I picked it up, looked at its cover showing certain politicians as lizard people/aliens and its claim to be revealing the truth. I thumbed through the pages and saw that it was very well footnoted and sourced. Indeed, it was comprehensive and chock full of things you wouldn’t read anywhere else. Experts in ancient languages interpreted original, ancient writings, Congressional Record excerpts and so on.
But there was that off-the-wall lizard-person picture…
Should I buy it or not? I put it back. Then I picked it up again and took it to the checkout. My first book by David Icke.
My conclusion: The value of books and writings isn’t always in the truth and the facts and being right and being the only voice. If a book or a writing just makes you think, and opens your mind, it has served its purpose.
